Apostle Randolph S. Witcher is the founder and senior Pastor of the Tried Stone Church of Greater Love, located in Sterling, VA, and the presiding Apostle and overseer of the Churches of Greater Love and its individual ministries. A native of Pittsylvania County, Virginia, from whence in September of 1984, was sent by God to reside, labor, and to preach the gospel throughout Northern Virginia and the world.
Apostle Witcher was educated in the Pittsylvania County, Virginia school system. After accepting the call to preach the gospel, he was thereafter licensed to do so in the year of our Lord 1980, and was ordained to the ministry in April of 1984. Seeing the need for proper training into the ministry, Apostle Witcher enrolled in the Richmond Virginia School of Theology, Roanoke VA. Campus. After moving to the Northern Virginia vicinity, he attended the Virginia Union, Evan Smith School of Theology, Falls Church, Virginia Campus. Then in June of 2000, Apostle Witcher graduated from the District of Columbia Bible Institute, certified in the studies of Foundational Church Ministries. He was also awarded a certificate for academic excellence from D.C.B.I on February 20, 2000. Apostle Witcher was anointed under the anointed hand of Apostle S.E. McKinney (overseer of the Pentecostal Oasis Church of Wilson, North Carolina), and was thereby confirmed to the office of Bishop on March 5, 2000 by a council of Confirming Elders and Pastors.
>Apostle Witcher is also an accomplished musician, with his instrument of choice being the piano and organ. He is the founder and president of the R.S. Witcher Gospel Music Workshop of Southern and Northern Virginia.
Since accepting the call into the ministry, Apostle Witcher has preached the gospel, evangelized and ministered extensively, as far as the Land of the Bible, Israel.
Apostle Witcher has written a total of three books. The contents of two of the books, "Joey, Another Joseph" and "Deeds of the First Lady", are stories that will enrich and encourage Christians who find themselves having to deal with the not so pleasant realties of this life. The third book entitled "Stigmatized to Succeed", is a collection of examples found in the bible that will help the reader understand that though we are imperfect beings, our imperfections do not have to be a hinderance on the pathway to success in the Lord. Imperfections when yielded to God will become stepping stones to success.
His hobbies include fresh water fishing, bowling, and traveling. Flea markets and coin collecting are favorite pastimes for the Apostle.
He was born the ninth of ten children to the late Scott and Pearl Witcher of Chatham, Virginia. Apostle is the father of one son, Corinthian S. Witcher.
